Description: NZY M-MuLV Reverse Transcriptase is a recombinant form of the Reverse Transcriptase from the Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus (M-MuLV) purified from Escherichia coli. The enzyme synthesizes the complementary DNA strand in the presence of a primer using either RNA (cDNA synthesis) or single-stranded DNA as a template. NZY M-MuLV Reverse Transcriptase lacks 3´ → 5´ exonuclease activity and has no RNase H activity, enabling improved synthesis of full-length cDNA even for long mRNA, using random priming. The enzyme gives high yields of first strand cDNA up to 7 kb.

Shipping and storage conditions: Shipped refrigerated. NZY M-MuLV Reverse Transcriptase should be stored at -20 °C in a freezer without defrost cycles. The enzyme will remain stable up to 3 years if stored as specified.

Storage buffer: 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 0.01% (v/v) Triton X-100 and 50% (v/v) glycerol.

Concentration: 200 U/µl.
 
Reaction buffer (10×): 500 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.3, 750 mM KCl, 30 mM MgCl₂ and 100 mM DTT.
