Description: NZYTaq 2× Colourless Master Mix with separate MgCl₂ is a premixed ready to use solution containing a recombinant modified form of Taq DNA polymerase purified fromEscherichia coli to amplify target DNA sequences up to 3 kb in size. The master mix contains dNTPs and reaction buffer at optimal concentrations for efficient amplification of DNA templates by PCR. NZYTech standard master mixes (MB039 and MB040) contain MgCl₂ at a 2.5 mM concentration. Occasionally some primers and DNA templates require slightly adjusted MgCl₂ concentrations for optimum results. Therefore, MgCl₂ is provided separately allowing for the MgCl₂ optimization in any PCR system. NZYTaq 2× Green Master Mix is not suitable when direct fluorescent or absorbance readings are required without prior purification of the amplified DNA from PCR. NZYTaq DNA polymerase lacks 3´-5´ exonuclease activity. Resulting polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products have an A overhang and are suitable for cloning with NZYTech´s NZYPCR cloning kit (MB01301 or MB01302).
