Description: NZYTaq 2× GC-Enhancer Solution was specially developed to overcome difficulties in the PCR amplification of GC-rich DNA templates using NZYTaq DNA polymerase. The solution contains a proprietary formulation that has proven particularly useful when attempting to amplify highly GC-rich DNA sequences (60-80%). The solution should be diluted 2× in the PCR reactions.  

 

Storage temperature: NZYTaq 2× GC-Enhancer Solution should be stored at -20 °C, in a constant temperature freezer. 

 

Functional assay: NZYTaq 2× GC-Enhancer Solution was tested for performance in particular difficult amplifications using Escherichia coli genomic DNA. PCR performance was analysed in a GreenSafe Premium (MB13201)-stained agarose gel.

 

Nuclease assays: NZYTaq 2× GC-Enhancer Solution was incubated with 0.5 μg of pUC18 for 2 hours at 37 °C or 72 °C. No nicking activity was observed after agarose gel electrophoresis.
