Description: Apa I is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the Apa I gene from Acetobacter pasteurianus. Apa I activity is blocked by overlapping dcm methylation (CmCWGG): GGGCCCWGG and CpG methylation (^mCG). NZYTech provides Apa I with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer C. NZYTech’s Apa I is an enzyme that acts at 37 °C. For double digestions please use NZYBuffer U (not provided, MB1100).

Concentration: 10000 units/ml.

Reagents supplied with the enzyme: 10× NZYBuffer C.

Storage buffer: 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 200 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 200 µg/ml BSA, 7 mM β-Mercaptoetanol, 50% (v/v) glycerol.
