Description: Dpn I is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the Dpn I gene from Diplococcus pneumoniae. Dpn I activity is blocked by overlapping CpG methylation. NZYTech provides Dpn I with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer C. NZYTech’s Dpn I is an enzyme that acts at 37 °C. For double digestions please use NZYBuffer U (not provided, MB1100).

Concentration: 10000 units/ml.

Reagents supplied with the enzyme: 10× NZYBuffer C.

Storage buffer: 25 mM NaHepes, pH 7.5, 500 mM NaCl, 150 mM Imidazol, 2.5 mM CaCl₂, 50% (v/v) glycerol.
