Product Description

CF™350 Annexin V conjugate is Annexin V labeled with our superior blue fluorescent dye CF™350. Annexin V is a 35-36 kDa protein that has a high affinity for phosphatidylserine (PS). In normal viable cells, PS is located on the cytoplasmic surface of the cell membrane. In apoptotic cells, however, PS is translocated from the inner to the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane, making itself available for Annexin V binding. CF™350 is spectrally similar to the traditional blue fluorescent dye, AMCA. However, compared to AMCA, CF™350 is more water-soluble, more photostable and at least 50% more fluorescent on proteins. CF™350 is at least as bright as Alexa Fluor® 350 and thus can be a direct replacement for the latter for all applications.
